Michael Wagsjo

Michael Wagsjo was born in Sweden and comes from a family of musicians. His father started to teach him the cello and violin at the young age of six. A few years later Michael started to learn the trumpet. He started to teach string and brass instruments in his father's music school in the year 2000. Michael studied music at the University of North Texas, Laval University of Quebec City in Canada, University of Gothenburg in Sweden and Royal Conservatory of Music in Aarhus, Denmark.

After Michael received his graduate degree in music pedagogy at Denmark, he has been performing and teaching in countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Estonia, Ukraine, and the United States of America. Michael has performed in Iceland's musical event of 2014, for the President of Iceland and in the 400 year anniversary of Quebec City music event with Mahler's 8th Symphony.

Myriam Clermont

Born in Montréal, Quebec, Canada, to French Canadian parents, Myriam Clermont began her violin lessons at age 4. When her family moved to the United States 6 years later, she learned English as her second language and continued her violin education in Pittsburgh, PA. From 1996-2002, Myriam’s skills developed rapidly under the instruction of violinist Hong-Guang Jia, assistant concertmaster of Pittsburgh Symphony. In 1998-1999, she served as Concertmaster in the Cleveland Youth Symphony and also performed in the Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra. In 2000, Myriam took part in the Duquesne Young Artist Competition and was awarded 1st Place in the Concerto Division and 2nd Place in the Solo Violin Division. She also performed in the position of Concertmaster in the University Philharmonic Orchestra from 2000-2002. In May 2001, she was awarded the prestigious position of Soloist with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. In the same year, Myriam participated in the Meadowmount Summer Music Festival. For 2 years, beginning in 2002, she studied violin under Stephen Shipps, Professor of Violin. In 2004, Myriam attended the Aspen Music Festival and School, where in 2005, she studied under Instructor Naoko Tanaka (Juillard) and was Assistant Concertmaster that year. From 2004-2006, Myriam studied under Yehonatan Berick, Associate Professor of Violin, at the University of Michigan. In 2005-2006, she held the position of Principal Violin in the University Philharmonic Orchestra.

A consummate academician, Myriam Clermont pursued double majors in Physics and Violin Performance at the University of Michigan. In 2006, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Violin Performance. Myriam was awarded membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Golden Key International Honor Society. In 2008, Myriam Clermont moved to Dallas, TX to pursue graduate studies. In 2009, she taught as a Violin Instructor with Providence Music Academy and has also kept a regular schedule of teaching private in-home violin lessons.
