Jena (Jihyun) Lee

Ms. Lee was born in Busan, South Korea and began playing piano at age four. She graduated from Busan Arts High School and earned Bachelors Degree of Music at Chung-Ang University as a full scholarship student. As a young artist, she received an award from the Superintendent of Education in Busan. She won awards at the Dong-ju University Music Competition, Ulsan University Music Competition, Busan Young Artist Competition, Busan Piano Duo Competition, The Piano Society of Korea Competition, and The Music Education News Competition. Ms. Lee also played as a soloist with Iasi State Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2009, Ms. Lee moved to the United States to pursue graduate studies at University of North Texas. She has appeared in numerous concerts and recitals as a solo & collaborative pianist and as a member of chamber ensembles. She received a Master of Music Degree and is currently working toward a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy as a related field study. As a piano instructor, Ms. Lee has taught students of various ages over 10 years. She enjoys teaching music, and she believes that music opens up many opportunities for fun, building confidence, and personal expression
