Miyoun Jang

Miyoun Jang began studying the piano at the age of five in Korea. She was the Grand Prize Winner at the Korean Youth Piano Competition. She moved from Korea to Dallas in 2001. She won the First Place at the Dallas Music Teachers Association Competition (2002) and was a Grand Prize Winner at the Lewisville Lake Symphony Young Artist Competition (2002) and the Collin County Young Artist Competition (2003). She played as a soloist with Lewisville Lake Symphony and the Plano Symphony Orchestra.

She got her Bachelors and Master Degree of Music at New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Recently, she earned Artist Certificate at the Southern Methodist University, receiving Paul Vellucci Piano Award. As a teacher, she taught at IP piano institute in Boston, and Graham and Parks Public School in Cambrigde, MA as a piano teacher for an after school program.

Also, she was a teaching assistant at the New England Conservatory teaching piano classes for non-major undergraduate students and a teaching fellow at the Preparatory Piano Department at Southern Methodist University. Ms. Jang loves kids, enjoys teaching, learns, and gets inspirations from students.
